2013 Fond du Lac Running Club Events
Saturday, February 2 - Annual Meeting Run/Walk – 3 mile run and 1 ½ mile walk. Lakeside Park pavilion on Promen Drive between Main St. and Park Ave.
Saturday, March 16 - Fond du Lac Police Legal Run Around – 5k run/walk, ½ mile kids run. Sadoff Gym, Marian University. 45 S. National Avenue.
Postponed - Make up date TBD - “It’s Fun to Run” Youth Run – Kids grades 5 and under. 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, and 1/8 mile runs. Buttermilk Creek Park. Corner of 20th Street and Park Avenue.
Saturday, June 8 - The Reporter Walleye Run/Walk - 5 mile run, 2 mile run, 3 mile walk. 1 mile and 1/3 mile kids runs. Oven Island & Promen Drive, Lakeside Park.
Saturday, June 15 - North Fondy Fest Run/Walk – 5k run/walk, 1 mile and 1/3 mile kids runs. Village Park, (access from Winnebago Street or Garfield Street) North Fond du Lac.
Saturday, October 12 – Celebration 5k Run/Walk for the Refuge – 5k run/walk, Horicon TernPike Auto Tour Route located on State Highway 49, about 2 miles east of the Highway 151 & Highway 49 interchange, east of Waupun.
Saturday, November 16 – FDLRC Prediction Run/Walk – 3 mile run only, 1 ½ mile run/walk, ½ mile kids run. Lakeside Park pavilion on Promen Drive between Main St. and Park Ave.
Tuesday, December 31 - New Year’s Eve Chilly/Chili Run/Walk – 5k run/walk, ½ mile kids run. Specific location TBD.
May 7 – August 27 - Fond du Lac Running Club Spring/Summer Track Workouts – Every Tuesday evening, 7 PM. Specific location TBD. Tentative track meets are scheduled for July 9 and August 20.
The Cross Country Challenge and FDLRC Half Marathon have been discontinued.
The North Fondy Fest Run/Walk and the Celebration 5k Run/Walk for the Refuge are not club owned events, but rather events that the running club volunteers to direct each year.
The Captain Derek Dobogai Memorial Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2013. The event is no longer owned and directed by the Fond du Lac Running Club. It will continue to be held at Winnebago Lutheran Academy located at 475 East Merrill Avenue.
