5 Mile Run
The 5 mile run takes runners to the east side of the city touring the extensive Fond du Lac Soccer Complex and then continuing past Moraine Park Technical College and through the UW-Fond du Lac Campus, finally passing by Fond du Lac High School before making their way back to Lakeside Park. This flat and fast course has produced many personal records for runners through the years. Walkers are strongly encouraged enter the 3 Mile Family Walk, however the 5 mile course will be supported for participants who can maintain a 13 minute pace per mile pace. Participants who fall behind this pace are at their own risk and will be asked to move onto the sidewalks. 2 Mile Run The 2 mile course is within Lakeside park and is also a flat and fast course. 3 Mile Family Walk For the walkers, we offer a non-competitive open 3 mile family walk which tours Lakeside Park. Strollers are allowed in the 3 mile walk but must line up in the back at the start of the event. 1 Mile 12 & Under New for 2013 is a chip timed 1 mile run for all kids ages 12 & under which is also entirely within Lakeside Park. In the past, we've had two separate 1 mile events for 10-12 year olds and 9 & under. Chip timing will allow us to run all the kids together. Thanks to technology, the award structure will not change. To preserve our history with the 1 mile event, we will still recognize an overall male and female winner in both the 10-12 year old and 9 & under categories. Age group awards will also remain in place, recognizing the top 3 male and female in single year age divisions, starting at age 7 all the way through age 12. All finishers will receive a certificate. 1/3 Mile 6 & Under For the younger kids ages 6 & under, we offer three separate 1/3 mile events; boys only, girls only and boys & girls with parents. All finishers will receive a certificate. |
